Urgent appointments
To request an urgent appointment for today or tomorrow (Monday to Friday):
- phone us on 01536 401372, Monday to Friday as soon after 8am as possible.
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm
When you get in touch, we’ll ask what you need help with.
We will use the information you give us to choose the most suitable doctor, nurse or health professional to help you.
Routine appointments
To request a routine appointment in the next 7 days:
- phone us on 01536 401372, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
- visit the surgery and speak with a receptionist, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App) to book a screening test or vaccination
- use our online system SystmOnline (You need to register for this service. Please bring some photo ID to Studfall Medical Centre where one of the reception staff can register you. You will be given a user name and password which you will need every time you log on. You can also fill in the form below).

However you choose to contact us, we may offer you a consultation:
- by phone
- face to face at the surgery
- on a video call
- by text or email
Appointments by phone, video call or by text or email can be more flexible and often means you get help sooner.
Cancelling or changing an appointment
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- using the GP online system – SystmOnline
- phone us on 01536 401372, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
- reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
If you need help when we are closed
If you need medical help now, use NHS 111 online or call 111 or attend Corby Urgent Care Centre, Cottingham Road, Corby NN17 2UR, which is open 8am to 8pm all days.
NHS 111 online is for people aged 5 and over. Call 111 if you need help for a child under 5.
Call 999 in a medical or mental health emergency. This is when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk.
If you need help with your appointment
Please tell us:
- if there’s a specific doctor, nurse or other health professional you would prefer to respond
- if you would prefer to consult with the doctor or nurse by phone, face-to-face, by video call or by text or email
- if you need an interpreter
- if you have any other access or communication needs
Home visits
If you are housebound and need an appointment, we will do a home visit. We will phone you first to understand what you need.
To request a home visit, it’s helpful if you phone the practice before 10.30am.
Extended Access Hub
From 1 April 2019 patients registered with GP surgeries in Corby will have access to up to 150 more appointments per week as NHS Corby CCG introduces a new Extended Access Hub. The additional appointments will mean patients can access General Practice services between 6.30pm and 8pm on weekdays and slots will be available at weekends, Bank Holidays and over Christmas and Easter at Woodsend Medical Centre.
Corby’s new Extended Access Hub will allow patients to book routine appointments with a GP or other healthcare professional, including GPs, nurses, physiotherapists and health care assistants, seven days a week. The service will be tailored to meet the needs of the Corby population.
To access this service, call your own GP practice where receptionists will be able to access and book evening, weekend and Bank Holiday appointments where appropriate.
Patients needing healthcare when their practice is closed should continue to call NHS 111.
Extended Hours
If you do not have an appointment Out of Hours are still responsible for your care and you will have to contact NHS 111 by telephoning 111 or Corby Urgent Care Centre is open from 8am until 8pm and they can be contacted on 01536 202121
Staff Training
Members of the practice team take part in the Protected Learning Time initiative. This means that the practice may be closed on one afternoon per month for training purposes. During this time, patients may use the services of NHS 111 or The Urgent Care Centre, Cottingham Road, Corby.
